Heritage Open Days Free Walk

19th September 2019

On Friday 13th and Sunday 15th September the Louth Civic Trust hosted walks led by Mrs Mary Abbot, Dr Richard Gurnham and Mr James Laverack, to celebrate Louth’s rich architectural heritage and history as part of the Heritage Open Days National Festival.

Heritage Open Days in September saw LCT members giving a guided walk from Westgate Fields to Riverhead during the afternoons of 13th and 15th. These always prove very popular; this year the theme was Lincolnshire Learning, Wisdom and Folklore and the walk included areas devastated by, and stories of, the Louth Flood of 1920.
